Forest School
What is Forest School?
Forest School is an inspirational process, that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees.
At St Andrew’s we build on an individual’s motivation and positive attitude to learning, offering children the opportunity to take risks, make choices and initiate their own learning. We aim to give everybody the opportunity to develop an inquisitive and positive relationship with the natural world, while having fun and enjoying themselves.
Forest School helps to develop confidence and self-esteem, communication and social skills, physical and mental dexterity and resilience. Sessions are planned weekly so that different activities are available for the children to take part in.
